The Under-10 team is for players, boys & girls, who were born in 2001. We will be training in Shamrock Lodge during the month of September and then the Grammar School with the rest of the mini section on Saturday mornings from 10:30 to 12:00. All rugby at this age is non-competitive and there will be a series of blitzes and games against North East & Metro opposition.

Boyne U10s completed a fantastic season when they fielded two teams away in Dundalk last Saturday. Boyne proved too strong for their opposition winning all five of the games contested. On a magnificent day for rugby Boyne scored some great tries after producing some great passages of play with fine passing and rucking. One of the Boyne teams kept a clean slate when they prevented two Dundalk and one Ardee team from scoring. The big difference between the teams was the tackling, with Boyne hitting almost every tackle.
Boyne U10s showed their strength in numbers on Saturday last when they fielded three teams at home against two teams from Navan and one from North Meath. After securing three wins against Barnhall the week before Boyne travelled with a large squad to Skerries on Sunday morning last. Boyne again proved too strong for Skerries following on from the last time these teams met back in January. Boyne travelled with a squad of twenty six and fielded two teams of eleven with two substitutes. Boyne outscored their Dublin opponents securing wins in all four matches. Boyne U10's proved too strong for Skerries when they met in the Grammar School last Sunday. Skerries travelled with a squad of twenty four and fielded two teams of twelve, Boyne produced three team, two teams against Skerries and outscored their Dublin opponents securing wins in all four matches. Boyne U10‘s proved too strong for Malahide when they met in the Metro League last Sunday. Boyne won both games when they travelled to Malahide for this rearranged fixture. Boyne travelled with a squad of twenty and fielded two teams of eight players. Both teams outscored their Dublin opponents, scoring over twenty tries and conceding only two. Boyne U10‘s started their Metro season with four wins out of four away against Bective Rangers last Sunday. Boyne travelled with a squad of 19 players and fielded two teams of 10 and 9 players. Both teams played two games and outscored their Dublin opponents, scoring over twenty tries and conceding only two. There were some great passages of play with fine passing and rucking. A big thank you to the very large supporting crowd and their trip was well rewarded with four great matches.
Boyne had a large squad of 38 players, a sign of the commitment there is among the parents; unfortunately North Meath could only field two sides of 7 players.
