Boyne U-11's produced yet another fine display to just beat a very competitive Ashbourne side .On what was a beautiful Sunday morning both sides served up some great rugby with fine displays of tackling, rucking and passing. There was a great team spirit shown by all and Boyne deserved their win.Well done lads and keep up the good work.
Boyne U 11's travelled to Ashbourne on Sunday 6th and served up a good performance and were unlucky not to come away with a victory. It was a good game to watch with a number of fine individual performances but also some great teamwork .Alex Smith,Stevie Kieran and John McGinley were the try scorer's well done lads and keep up the good work.
Boyne fielded two U 11 teams against strong Dundalk sides on Saturday last. A big improvement in tackling from the first week was shown with some great individual performances especially from those players new to rugby this year. Both players and spectators enjoyed two very competitive and tight matches with the first match ending in a draw and Boyne just being pipped in the second match. Twenty two players turned up and all played "well done lads and keep up the good work"
A large crowd is expected in Ratoath this Saturday 3rd. October for the first games of the season.
All Boyne teams 7's through 12's will play teams from Ratoath and Athboy.

Boyne U11s have successfully made it to the Leinster finals with a good
performance at Dundalk today. They were merciless in beating Ratoath 7 nil in the first match. The second match saw them go down 2 nil to Navan but were unlucky and finished strongly. In the third match they beat Ashbourne 3 -1 to get to the semi final to face Skerries. In the semi-final the score was 3 all at full time but Skerries won by virtue of scoring the first try.
Boyne Under 11s orange and green sides lost to Navan yesterday 7-nil and 12-3 respectively. It took awhile for the Boyne sides to come to to terms with the physical intensity of Navan. The matches were lost in both cases in the first ten minutes. Although both sides rallied Navan were out of sight at that stage. Try scorers for Boyne Green were Robert Morgan with his first try for his club and Nicholas Campbell who rowed in two tries of his own.
Boyne were unlucky to lose to a Blackrock side trained by Brendan Mullin and Brendan Mays this weekend and indeed may look back on this as one that they could have won. Boyne went behind early on to a try from the Blackrock backs but then proceeded to own the ball for the next 10 minutes before Oisin Heraty the Boyne left wing sped over, finishing a sweeping move which involved all members of the home team.
The Under-11 team is for players, boys & girls, who were aged 10 on the 30th of June 2008, i.e. whose date of birth is between 1st July 1997 and 30th June 1998. At present we train in the Grammar School with the rest of the mini section on Saturday mornings from 10:30 to 12:00.
The coaches include Alf Nicholson, Conor Eceleston, Conor Daly and others.
