Battling display sees Boyne 3rds through to cup final

A single try scored by Ricky McCormack and converted by Alan Martyn was enough to see Boyne through to the Anderson Cup final in a tough but exciting semi final in Clane on Sunday.
Boyne lined out unchanged from the previous weeks convincing win over Naas, but with a number of changes on the replacements bench, where Phil Rice, Paul Heeney and Mark Kelly joined John "Beechy" McCreanor and Shane "Smiggy" Smith.

Lucky number 13 for Boyne 3rds in Anderson Cup quarter final

Boyne’s 3rd team recorded their 13th win in all competitions on Sunday in Naas in a Cup quarter final showdown with the much fancied home team. Having beaten last years winners Dundalk in the 1st round, and local rivals Cill Dara in the 2nd round, Naas would have been confident heading into this game. The Boynesiders, unbeaten since this stage of the competition last year, paid no heed to reputation however, and set about their hosts from the first whistle.
