U7's Dundalk V's Boyne

Boyne U7’s completed an unbeaten season this Sat when we fielded two teams away to Dundalk and Balbriggan. In all 17 players turned out for the last game of the season and proved too strong for both Dundalk teams and Balbriggan. This U7’s team has come a long way since turning up for their first ever rugby training session last September. The primary tag rugby skills of handling and evasion were evident throughout the season with great defensive awareness coming into play in our most recent games.

Boyne U10s finish season on a high

Boyne U10s completed a fantastic season when they fielded two teams away in Dundalk last Saturday. Boyne proved too strong for their opposition winning all five of the games contested. On a magnificent day for rugby Boyne scored some great tries after producing some great passages of play with fine passing and rucking. One of the Boyne teams kept a clean slate when they prevented two Dundalk and one Ardee team from scoring. The big difference between the teams was the tackling, with Boyne hitting almost every tackle.

U7's Armagh Blitz

Five teams participated in Sat's U7's Blitz in Armagh. Navan, Coolmine, Armagh A / B and Boyne. As none of the traveling sides were able to field more than one team the day finished ahead of schedule.
It was business as usual for Boyne despite missing a number of players due to the easter holiday break. We were able to field a team plus four subs and no matter what combination of players we had on the pitch we managed to score tries and win all of our games.

Boyne U10s field three teams against Navan and North Meath

Boyne U10s showed their strength in numbers on Saturday last when they fielded three teams at home against two teams from Navan and one from North Meath. Boyne proved too strong for their opposition winning all but one of the six games contested. On a magnificent day for rugby Boyne scored some great tries after producing some great passages of play with fine passing and rucking. The main difference between the teams was the tackling, with Boyne hitting almost every tackle.

Boyne U-11's 3 Ashbourne 2

Boyne U-11's produced yet another fine display to just beat a very competitive Ashbourne side .On what was a beautiful Sunday morning both sides served up some great rugby with fine displays of tackling, rucking and passing. There was a great team spirit shown by all and Boyne deserved their win.Well done lads and keep up the good work.

U7s Ratoath V's Boyne

14 Boyne under 7's turned out on a sunny spring morning in Rathoath and proceeded to maintain our unbeaten record in 2010.
The final score of 7 tries to 1 showed the total dominance Boyne had throughout the match.

Boyne 10's v Skerries

After securing three wins against Barnhall the week before Boyne travelled with a large squad to Skerries on Sunday morning last. Boyne again proved too strong for Skerries following on from the last time these teams met back in January. Boyne travelled with a squad of twenty six and fielded two teams of eleven with two substitutes. Boyne outscored their Dublin opponents securing wins in all four matches. On a magnificent day for rugby Boyne scored some great tries after producing some great passages of play with fine passing and rucking.

Boyne 10's v Skerries

Boyne U10's proved too strong for Skerries when they met in the Grammar School last Sunday. Skerries travelled with a squad of twenty four and fielded two teams of twelve, Boyne produced three team, two teams against Skerries and outscored their Dublin opponents securing wins in all four matches. The other Boyne team entertained Ardee and won one and lost one. On a very cold day for rugby Boyne scored some great tries after producing some great passages of play with fine passing and rucking. The main difference between the teams was the tackling, with Boyne hitting almost every tackle.

Boyne U-12 (Salmon) v Terenure

U12 Salmon squad versus Terenure B away on Sunday 13th December
A fine performance from the Salmon squad resulted in a final score of 11-1 for Boyne. This was a game with lots of free flowing rugby. Virtually all of the scrums and lineouts were won by Salmon with many examples of the ball going right out the back line to the wings.
There was some great tackling, passing and running.

Terenure 8 Boyne 3

Boyne Under 12s “Vipers” travelled to Dublin to be greeted by mild weather, a heavy pitch and a well organised (and hospitable) Terenure team. From the very start Terenure set out to take full advantage of the home setting and they immediately put Boyne under pressure forcing the concession of the first try in a matter of minutes.
