Dundalk 6 Boyne 2nd XV 16

Boyne 2nds got off to a winning start in the Leinster 2nds League Div 1a clash with a hard fought victory over Dundalk at Mill Road on Saturday. Boyne took the field without a recognized hooker but Dave Walsh's throw
ins contributed to an efficient lineout ensuring a steady supply of good ball to the back line. Boyne dominated territory and possession in the first half and but for a few dropped passes could have had 2 or 3 tries on the board at half time. A quick line out throw allowed Alan MacEneaney to waltz under the posts for the games first try and a 7-0 half time lead.

The try was finished by Adam Sherard and coverted by Alan McEneaney. Several minutes later after a lot of pressure from the Boyne pack, Alan McEneaney coverted a penalty to move Boyne 10 points clear.
