Boyne Seniors V Navan in Navan at 8pm Friday 6th March 2015

Supporters Bus

Boyne take on old rivals Navan this Friday night in Navan at 8pm.
We have 3 league games left in which to save our league status or at the very least ensure we reach the play off place. Mike, Niall & Cillian and the lads have put enormous effort into what has been a very difficult season with retirements of senior players and blooding in of young lads. All Ireland League Status was hard won and a return to junior rugby would have many negative consequences for the club.

Midleton 27 - 0 Boyne Senior XV (AIL - 15/11/2014)

Boyne played their fifth game in this league on Saturday last and this was their third away trip to the rebel county to play Middleton, having earlier played Kanturk and Highfield in this league. A large contingent of club supporters travelled with the team to give them support and they stayed in the Cork town overnight on Saturday last.
The Middleton side have recruited well and as a result of this they are a much stronger outfit than the one which visited Shamrock Lodge last year.

(A.I.L. Div 2B) Boyne 10 - 34 Greystones (20/09/2014)

Conditions could not have been more ideal at Shamrock Lodge on Saturday last with autumn sunshine beaming down on the splendidly manicured grounds on the Ballymakenny Road. There were a number of history making "firsts" preceding the opening AIL game this season, when this years President, Phoebe Leonard, hosted her inaugural pre-match lunch as the first lady President of the club. There was another "first" when the new face of UTV Ireland, Alison Comyn, became the first lady to perform the pre-match lunch speaker duties.

Senior Training Monday with Joe Schmidt

We are so pleased and delighted that Joe Schmidt has honoured a promise to our immediate past president, Robbie McGrath, that he would come down and do a coaching session - when his busy schedule allowed him to do so. Of course he is a good friend of our coach, Mike Walls and also Director Of Rugby, Niall Ronan. He will arrive at Shamrock Lodge on Monday night at 7pm and all players & coaches are asked to be togged out in training gear, prepared, to be on the pitch before 7:15pm. Let us give our national coach a real Boyne RFC welcome.

Metro J1 League Section B - Phase 2 Boyne 15pts DLSP 8pts

Whilst Boyne’s senior side might be grabbing all the headlines so far this season, Eldon Moors, Davy Downes & Ian O’Reilly are also doing a fine job with the clubs J1 side. This victory over bottom of the table side, DLSP, saw them finish in joint second spot in their league section. However, the Navan team had a superior points difference to pip them for outright 2nd spot.

Ulster Bank AIL Div 2B Navan 18pts Boyne 13pts

These two clubs came together a number of weeks ago when all their teams played each other in the now annual event that is known as the Bru Na Bóinne. However, those games paled in significance as to what was at stake at Balreask Old last Friday night when they met in a top of the table clash in the AIL Div 2B. The game itself could very well be described as a ‘Battle Royal’ and provided magnificent entertainment for the huge crowd who turned out to witness the encounter.
