Under 10's V.s Coolmine / Athboy

A great morning's rubgy was had by all on Sunday 29th Jan with visiting teams from Coolmine and Athboy.  The early morning meant there was a little frost to contend with but conditions under foot were good and matches kicked off at 10.15am.  Yet again excellent improvements in ball handling, rucking and organisation on the pitch where seen from the ever improving Boyne under 10's.  Some simple errors led to a number of 'give away' tries from all sides and this will be the focus for training in the coming weeks.

Under 10's Vs. Seapoint

Team A coached by Phil and James.

Boyne 2007's can be very proud of their efforts away to Seapoint  today. Despite the early start, they were quickly into their stride, winning 2 of their 3 matches and scoring plenty of tries in the process.

U10's Win Paul Moloney Memorial Fair Play Award

Boyne U10's had an early start this morning when they travelled to St Mary's College RFC for the first Paul Moloney Memorial Blitz.
Conditions were perfect and each team played three games each which were very enjoyable to watch.  It's amazing how much these young lads have come on from when they first started at U7's.  They really put everything learnt from training into practice and were awarded the Paul Moloney Memorial Fair Play Award, presented by Leinster and Ireland loosehead prop Jack McGrath.

U10 Athy rugby camp out..

what a fantastic weekend, Rain, sun clear sky even a bit of snow.sort of.. camp fire and songs doesn't get better than that role on next season, thanks to con and david for organising and to all the parents who camped out... and to our super star player of the day Senan who returned about 8pm to the team in good form.

Boyne Fives V's Balbriggan and Naas

Fantastic morning of rugby well done to all the parents and 32+ who turned out in the pouring rain, The rain easied by the time we took to the pitch, the players all seemed to love it as a palyer theres nothign better than rain, soft pitch and a bit of mud, good close games throughout and the Barbarians (mix of all 3 teams) did us proud.  got to say no improvments from me today all the lads played really well under wet conditions, we dont often get to play in the rain due to damaging the pitches so a big thankyou to Ballbriggan for steeping up and letting us host their.
