Communications update 21/Jan

Folks, unfortunately the SMS/Text alert system that we use is terribly unreliable, messages to the group either crash or get distributed after the time that they should. I am going to therefore stop using the SMS/Text system in the coming weeks. Therefore can I please ask that parents join the TeamApp system so that we can do better with our comms.
If you are not currently signed up please follow these instructions:

sign up at https://2009s.teamapp.com/ don't forget to explain who you are when you apply for entry to the group app
I will keep continue to keep this webpage upto date.

July 11th

Hi All,
I hope you and your family are well.
We are planning our return to rugby and need all to complete covid training.
Well there is some light at the end of the tunnel and some sports are getting back some kind of normality.

In preparation the club has made a few appointments and proposals.

Firstly Peter Kerr will be the club Covid officer and detail the return to play plan in the coming weeks.

For our team the Boyne U12s (from Sept) Hugh James has agreed to be our team Covid coordinator.

All players and parents need to take the following actions:

1. Go to Boyne RFC webpage and view the Covid Training PPT. http://www.boynerfc.ie/files/Covid-19_InductionTraining.pdf

2. Fill out the form confirming that you and the player have reviewed.

Once you have the confirmation form screenshot it or photo the page and send to me

Fitness.

Folks in this time with limited activity it is important to keep the lads active.

Jogging, ball practice, fitness drills etc can all be done at home, in the garden or in local field.

The U13s have a nice YouTube video called 'Boyne RFC under 13 pre season home training'
if you are looking for inspiration!!

Boyne 2005's U11 end of season game

Well done to all the Boyne 2005's U11 team, We had a great season which kicked off with 59 registered players the largest squad in Dublin and the North East.

We saw some fantastic improvement from all players with a levelling out of skills and the new players catching up very quickly. it was a very successful year, we played many of the larger squads in Dublin for the first time and our lads more than held their own.

12 individual players who went above and beyond this year

U11 Boyne Vs Greystones

Our first real squad turn out of the season 49 players out of our 60 players,  Some close fought games Greystones key players opened up a hole in all 3 teams defences,
My knights team were strong in holiding position, rucking counter ruck scrum and line out, it was just the tackling that allowed greystones to win 2 out of 3 matches. We won line outs and scrums that were not our ball for the first time which is a great step forward, well done to all.

Malahide Vs Boyne U11

Stunning morning in Malahide, great set up over there, we had 3 teams only 56% of our squad traveled, they played very well,  Highlight of the day was Caélán Try Sounded fantastic well done Caélán

Carton House

Great morning at Carton house, thanks to Mazda for the invite,  the training session by the star players was spot on, some great friendly rugby matches.

U11 End of season trip to Carlingford

The U11 team met at Shamrock Lodge early on Sunday (May 17th) destination Carlingford Activity Centre for their final adventure of the season.
22 players togged out for a much anticipated laser battle in the Carlingford forest. The boys fought it out valiantly for three hours and returned battle weary and famished to enjoy a substantial lunch. When their appetites had finally been sated, the boys, coaches and travelling parents gathered for the end of season presentation.
