Boyne U13's Win Leinster Plate

Leinster U13 Plate Final
Boyne 35 Cill Dara 5
Boyne put behind the disappointment of losing the North East final on last Monday to Skerries and produced an outstanding performance to lift the Leinster Plate at Donnybrook on Saturday morning. The spiritual home of Leinster rugby was the ideal setting and Boyne rose to the occasion.

Dundalk v Boyne NE Semi Final

North East Semi Final Under 13 Dundalk 22 Boyne 26 Boyne and Dundalk went into battle in a classic Louth Darby match in Mill Road on Thursday evening. Through the years, there has rarely been more than a score between both sides and it was no different this time round. Dundalk started strongly and went through to score after just 2 minutes. Boyne responded well and after a break from the scrum, David Hobbs off loaded to Lee Grifferty who touched down. Euan Canniffe converted to give Boyne a narrow lead.

Boyne v Kilkenny U13

Boyne v Kilkenny An eager to win Boyne under 13’s stepped on to the pitch at Shamrock Lodge this Saturday to face Kilkenny RFC. From the kick off Kilkenny let Boyne know they meant business and pushed forward from the outset. A momentary lapse of concentration in the Boyne back line allowed Kilkenny put the first try on the score board. It took another 10 minutes before an equalising try by Zak Swanson after a great run up the wing brought Boyne level. Both teams were well matched and Kilkenny fought hard to get back across Boyne’s try line.

Navan 7 v Boyne 42 (U13)

Leinster premier league U13 Navan 7 Boyne 42 Parents and coaches of kids playing sport show enormous commitment for various reasons, the main ones being that they want their child to learn to love sport, form friendships and get fit. This commitment in driving kids to training and matches in all weather conditions is rarely appreciated by the young bucks but there are great moments when parents can have an internal smile and realise it’s all worthwhile. Friday night in Navan was one of those moments for the parents of Boyne under 13’s.
