Boyne 15's Win Leinster Final

Boyne's under 15's capped off a great season by winning the Leinster Under 15 McAuley Cup, becoming the first Boyne youth team to win a Leinster Cup in 12 years. They were joined by the Boyne under 19's as Leinster champions who followed up the 15's win by winning the Fox cup.

North East Leinster Squad

Ten of the current Boyne U-15 team which has reached the Leinster League & Leinster Cup final have been selected for the next phase of the North East Leinster Rugby development squad.
The players are: George Blake, Emmet Banahan, Cathal Duffy, Jack Foley, Neil Reilly, John Connolly, Caoillte Hickey, Adam Brodigan, Mark Rogers, Ciaran Long.

Boyne 15's 15 - 13 Tullamore (Leinster Cup S/F)

Boyne 15's travelled to Barnhall RFC for their Leinster Cup semi-final against Tullamore before travelling on to the Leinster - Leicester Heineken Cup quarter final. Boyne were without the injured Jack Foley & Eoin O'Malley but the strength in depth in the squad meant there were quality replacements available. Boyne put Tullamore under early pressure and were awarded two penalties, both of which were unconverted. Boyne scored the first try to take a 5 - 0 lead, which was followed by a Tullamore penalty to leave the score at 5 - 3.

Boyne 15's 28 Ratoath 0

Boyne under 15's played their final North East league match of the season, defeating Ratoath by 28 points to no score. Some injuries & illnesses to players meant we were without 3 of the backs who played against Navan but those who came in performed superbly. The starting front row of Cathal Duffy, Kyle Murphy & Diarmuid Mongey locked out the scrum and perfomed strongly in the loose. Second rows Davin Doherty & Aleron Farina also played well, with Aleron using his height to great advantage in the lineouts.

Boyne 15's 3 - Navan 0 (Leinster League S/F)

Boyne and Navan met for the 5th time this season in the replay of the Leinster League semi-final having played out a 22 - 22 previously. Both teams & coaches are now very familiar with each other and this showed in the match where defense was key. There was a strong breeze favouring Navan in the first half and the put a lot of pressure on the Boyne defense for the first 10 minutes. Boyne then started to take control in the forwards but couldn't break Navan down.
