A big dream has become a reality. A few months ago I placed a photo of the Boyne Under 9's on the O2 "Play Them Next" site. A competition where the top prize was to have Paul O Connell, Brian O Driscoll & Johnny Sexton come and play some rugby with the entrants. Little did we know that I would get the call to say that we had won.
Needless to say this was made possible by the massive effort put in by many people from Boyne Rugby Club their families and friends. O2 came and filmed us for a video to help the lads choose a winner. The photo, the great performance and passion on the day of our young players and the community spirit that was portrayed helped Brian, Johnny and Paul decide on an outright winner.
Details of their visit to Boyne will follow but at the moment it looks like some day in August as they have rugby commitments currently.

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone involved who helped us win this. You know who you are and there are far too many to mention (18633 to be exact).We look forward to a great day in August when the boys visit Boyne RFC.
